The Lecht has 20 pistes. The Lecht is best suited for intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is a also a lot of terrain for beginners and experts too. The Lecht may be smaller and lower than Glenshee or Cairngorm but it is sheltered, north facing and has the best snow making/grooming facilites in scotland. This means that it is often open when the bigger resorts are closed. The pistes are not that long but suit all abilites and the simple layout of the resort means children can be left to roam free with out geting lost.
Midweek you will have the pistes and lifts to yourself but on a good weekend the secret (to weekend skiing anywhere) is to have your skis on by 9.
There is also a brand new base station including cafe bar and ski hire system which means that you can have a pint while you wait.
All in all this is well run resort perfect for learning any time and on a good day is as gud as any where.
