The resort of Turracher Höhe lies on the border of Steirmark and Carinthia. A tranquil, lake is surrounded by wooded slopes to oneside and piste to the other. Due to unique rock formations caused by the fold mountains eroding rare minerals are deposited in the water giving the healing qualities. The final word I would use to descibe Turracher Hohe is quiet. In the depths of the night the quiet is unprecedented and the only sound that can be heard is the tinkling of the huge stars in the clear night air.
